Tao Te ching chap. 48

In the search for worldly knowledge everyday something is acquired.
In the way of the Tao every moment something is dropped.

The mud begins to settle and the desire to force things begins to fade.
Eventually one begins to witness the operation of the universe without assuming control.
This is the unfolding of wu-wei or the state of letting things take their natural course and the realization that all attempts at interference and control are all mental illusions.

True mastery of this process arises only through authentic surrender.
It cannot me mastered through grasping.
